Out of Hours Vet Team
Vet
We have two out of hours support vets working with our team so all our vets have adequate time off and are able to focus on your horse pony or donkey to the very best of their ability. As we undertake our own emergency work and admit horses for routine and emergency hospitalisation 24/7, we also always have a surgeon on call and a nurse resident in the practice to care for your equines if they need inpatient care.
Javier Perez Gomez MRCVS is incredibly experienced and joins us after completing an internship at Leahurst and not one, but two residencies. His first residency was in reproduction in Europe, followed by a residency in America in equine internal medicine. Some of his favourite equine veterinary jobs are investigating a complex colic, or using endoscopy to investigate gastric or respiratory disease.
Veronica Nunes MRCVS graduated from the University of Porto and has gained experience around the world, working with both racehorses and polo ponies in countries including Brazil, Australia, Ireland, Northern Ireland and England. Veronica is passionate about travel and experiencing new cultures. Outside work, she enjoys yoga, music and outdoor sports.
