Julia qualified from Cambridge University in 2007 and worked in the University first opinion practice and equine referral hospital before joining Ashbrook in 2009. Julia enjoys all aspects of equine practice but has a particular interest in internal medicine and anaesthesia. In 2013 she passed the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in Equine Medicine. She enjoys the challenges of diagnosing and treating liver disease, respiratory conditions and intestinal/gastric problems. She also has a particular interest in the management of Equine Metabolic Syndrome and Cushings disease. In her ‘spare’ time, Julia is also a member of the VetPartners Equine Clinical Board, working towards improving clinical excellence in equine practices throughout the UK.
