The Hospital

Ashbrook Equine Hospital is an RCVS-accredited Hospital, a title we work hard to maintain. This ensures you and your horse get the highest standard of care.

There are two main yards housing six and eight horses respectively; we have additional stabling when required. There are a series of small paddocks fenced with post and rail which are used for individual turn out. An isolation facility allows hospitalisation of horses with potential infectious diseases whilst protecting the other patients. CCTV allows continuous monitoring of sick horses when necessary. A weigh bridge is situated in the main yard allowing us to accurately dose your horse as well as being used to monitor weight – both gains and losses.

A dedicated team of nurses is employed to care for the horses as well as assisting with all veterinary procedures. This care continues 24 hours a day 365 days of the year ensuring your horse always receives the best possible treatment.

The hospital has several treatment rooms equipped with stocks to aid with restraint of the patient when necessary, a dedicated imaging suite and a surgical suite. There is also an on-site forge and a purpose built reproduction suite. On-site laboratory facilities allow a number of tests to be carried out at Ashbrook Equine Hospital enabling same-day results and therefore a more rapid diagnosis for your horse.

Our office staff are based on-site with access to your computerised records. This allows us up to date information on your horse at all times making sure we can deal with your queries efficiently.
